Department Overview
Aftersales is responsible for increasing customer satisfaction and retention across a diverse product portfolio. The addition of highly specialist and engineered hypercars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie, has resulted in a unique direct customer support programme utilizing core hubs and pop-up locations to support cars and customers across the globe.
Job Purpose
The candidate will be required to prepare, service and maintain Aston Martin Hypercar customer vehicles at AML, customer and 3rd party sites globally.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Hypercar vehicle service and repair activities, in UK and in remote locations
- Strip and inspect parts
- Measure components
- HV component assembly and operation (training provided)
- Hydraulic system assembly, bleeding and operation (training provided)
- Support “flying spanner” activities
- Problem solving to aid in solution of current vehicle issues
- Follow H&S guidelines
- Scrupulous housekeeping duties including warranty documentation
- Follow departments COSHH guidelines
Experience and Qualifications
Essential Experience
- Supercar/Hypercar/Motorsport technical expertise
- Broad motorsport experience
- Ability to perform detailed inspection
- Failure investigations and problem solving
- Working across functional teams effectively
Preferred experience
- Automotive expert
- Aftersales knowledge
- Luxury / VIP customer understanding
Essential Education/ Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering qualification level 3, minimum 5 years motorsport experience.
- Alternative qualifications considered
Preferred experience/ Qualifications
- HV safety training
- F-Gas training
- Compressed gases and cryogenic training
Required Skills/ Behaviours
- Strong technical skills and understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Creative thinking and problem-solving
- Strong teamworking skills are required to ensure effective communication and collaboration across functional teams
- Ability to ensure the highest standard of workmanship is always maintained
- Being pro-active in promoting a positive image for the company
- Positive, can-do attitude is a must
Additional requirements
Proficient in office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD, Project).
Driving License.
Ability to travel to support engineering partners & suppliers (UK & worldwide) is essential, expected travel a maximum of 50% of time with minimum one week’s notice.
