Supplier Quality Leader – Current Supplier Quality, Chassis & Body Mechanisms
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Hours: 39 hours per week | Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 | Friday 07:30-12:30
At Aston Martin, quality is at the heart of everything we do. From world-class engineering to iconic luxury vehicles, our success is built on delivering exceptional standards to our customers. We are now looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Leader to join our Quality function and take ownership of supplier quality performance within our Chassis and Body Mechanisms commodity area.
This is a pivotal role where you will lead supplier quality activities throughout serial production, ensuring issues are contained effectively, root causes are identified, and robust corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement, support production continuity, and help deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
As Supplier Quality Leader, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving supplier performance through data-driven analysis and structured problem solving. You will manage supplier concerns from containment through to closure, reviewing corrective action evidence and challenging responses where necessary to ensure sustainable improvements. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and Supplier partners to mitigate risks, resolve quality concerns and maintain production output.
A key part of the role will involve reviewing supplier processes, conducting audits and ensuring effective change management controls are in place. You will support APQP activities, AMPAP/PPAP approvals and running change management while leading supplier escalation activities and recovery plans where performance falls short of expectations. You will also provide regular reporting on supplier quality performance, risks and improvement actions to senior stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing supplier quality across the full product lifecycle within a manufacturing environment. You will have strong knowledge of quality methodologies and tools, with the ability to lead containment activities, root cause investigations and corrective action verification. Experience supporting APQP, PPAP and change management processes is essential, alongside a solid understanding of Chassis and Body Mechanism components and associated manufacturing processes.
You will be a confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels, both internally and across a global supplier base. A proactive approach, strong ownership mindset and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential to success in this role.
Applicants should hold a degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience and possess strong IT, data analysis and problem-solving capabilities. A full UK driving licence is required, along with the flexibility to travel within the UK, Europe and internationally when business needs demand.
In return, Aston Martin offers the opportunity to work within one of the world's most prestigious automotive brands, where quality, innovation and continuous improvement drive everything we do. This role provides an excellent platform for career progression within Quality, including opportunities to move into Manager, Senior Manager or specialist expert positions in the future.
If you are passionate about supplier quality excellence and want to play a key role in supporting the delivery of world-class vehicles, we would love to hear from you.
