Apply now Job no: 512408
Work type: Full Time - Permanent
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Categories: Procurement

At Aston Martin, every vehicle we create is the result of relentless attention to detail, engineering excellence and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

Behind every world-class sports car is a network of suppliers delivering components that must perform flawlessly from the very first build through to customer delivery. As a Supplier Quality New Model Engineer within our Engine & Powertrain team, you'll play a critical role in making that happen.

This is an opportunity to influence the development of some of the most advanced propulsion and driveline systems in the automotive industry, working at the heart of vehicle programmes that will define the future of Aston Martin.

You'll become the quality voice within cross-functional teams, partnering closely with Engineering, Purchasing and our global supplier network to ensure every component meets the standards expected of one of the world's most iconic luxury brands.

From supplier selection and new model introduction through to production launch and continuous improvement, you'll have ownership, visibility and the chance to make a tangible impact on vehicle quality from day one.

Working across engine and powertrain commodities, you'll support the delivery of complex systems including driveline components, driveshafts, prop shafts, axles, transmissions and electrified propulsion technologies. You'll coach, challenge and support suppliers, helping them develop robust manufacturing processes while ensuring quality requirements are achieved throughout the entire product lifecycle against defined target and deadlines / time lines.

This role combines technical depth with stakeholder influence. One day you could be leading supplier process audits, reviewing APQP deliverables and supporting PPAP approvals. The next, you could be driving root cause investigations, analysing measurement data, influencing senior stakeholders or working with suppliers across Europe and beyond to resolve critical quality concerns.

To succeed, you'll bring experience within supplier quality, manufacturing quality, launch quality or APQP environments, coupled with a strong understanding of quality tools and techniques. You'll be comfortable working with DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies, using them to drive sustainable improvements and robust corrective actions. You will also be fully conversant with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and can demonstrate Lead Auditor capability to conduct Manufacturing Site Assessment to ISO9000, IATF 16949 and / or VDA 6.3.

You'll also possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes within engine, propulsion or driveline systems and enjoy working collaboratively across multiple teams to achieve ambitious programme objectives.

We're looking for someone who combines technical credibility with excellent communication skills, someone who can confidently challenge when required, build strong relationships and influence positive outcomes both internally and externally.

In return, you'll join a business where quality is fundamental to everything we do. You'll have the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting vehicle programmes in the automotive industry, while developing your career within a business that values expertise, innovation and continuous improvement.

A full UK driving licence is required, alongside the flexibility to travel within the UK, Europe and other global locations as business needs demand.

Why Aston Martin?

This is more than a quality engineering role. It's an opportunity to shape the vehicles that carry one of the world's most respected luxury performance brands.

You'll work alongside passionate experts, influence future vehicle programmes and contribute directly to the delivery of products that inspire customers around the globe.
