Paint Shop Operations delivers world‑class surface finish quality through robust processes, data‑driven insight and continuous improvement across AML manufacturing sites.
Job Purpose:
Provide consistent technical and quality practices across multi-site production, acting as the technical authority for paint processes (Level 0 / Level 1), ensuring defect containment, DPV reduction and operational continuity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver external quality performance at St Athan
• Own problem solving processes at Level 0 / Level 1 for paint processes
• Resolve issues with permanent corrective actions, and sign off before releasing ….
•Deliver CPA, MPR and OWR improvement activities
• Provide operational cover to the GL and leadership team
• Lead root cause resolution across Paint
• Support program launch activities
• Manage supplier quality issues (SPQ) and customer concerns to resolution
• Generate and present performance data to senior leadership for external customer performance
• Support global customer and dealer-related concern using salesforce and warranty data
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- Relevant manufacturing, engineering or technical experience
- Experience in paint shop operations, defect analysis, DPV reduction and production support.
- Detailed flags knowledge and MS Office platforms for tracking key metrics and improvement plans
Preferred:
- Experience supporting launch programmes, supplier quality management and customer issue resolution.

Additional Information:
Significant shop-floor presence; cross-site travel (Gaydon & St Athan) required.
