Department overview:
The Software Integration Team are responsible for driving the delivery and vehicle level integration of software in line with required programme content and timing, bringing control and governance to change management within development and test.
Job Purpose:
Ensure all commodity functions and features across complex systems are delivered and implemented with respect to full vehicle electrical architecture and programme deadlines across all build phases.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Electrical Architecture & Commodity Teams to implement new / existing features.
- Drive issue resolution and where required support the technical implementation of mitigation plans with module owners.
- Represents EE Integration in engineering and technical reviews and escalation forums.
- Lead / Support “Bring To Life” workstreams for major and complex domains, lab cars and first fleet vehicles through the Integration Point and Feature Implementation Process.
- Prototype build and production line and fleet “first line” support.
- Ability to manage smaller special projects, working with key stakeholders to deliver against tight timelines.
Qualification & Experience:
- 5+ years of working in a technical automotive electrical application role.
- Experience of automotive architectures and communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet.
- Knowledge of product development cycle from concept to launch completion (V Cycle) with a focus on software deployment and integration.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics standards (UDS, ISO 14229, DOIP) and diagnostic tools.
- Domain experience in Powertrain, Chassis, ADAS, Body or Infotainment.
- Complex issue resolution across various functional commodities.
- Proven capability of vehicle analysis using Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape or equivalent).
- Experience of diagnostic commissioning and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in reading circuit diagrams.
- Ability to interpret requirements documentation.
- Prototype build and production line and fleet support.
- Understanding of Functional Safety and Cyber Security.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including appropriate escalation and reporting where required.
