Job Purpose:

To be responsible for all co-ordination of transport and good in/out for Pre-production builds and other Vehicle Engineering Centre requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to co-ordinate transportation around UK,EU China and USA as requested by engineers.
  • Support vehicle consignments to and from site when required.
  • Support with packaging requirement in line with current legislation guidance
  • Communicate with teams where combined transport efficiencies are identified.
  • Ensure appropriate paperwork is issued on time and maintained for all shipments.
  • Ensure all requests are tracked in line with required UK customs and other regulations.
  • Co-ordinate PWR’s to support DVP and pre-production build requirements.
  • Support the business with launch and media events regarding all logistics movements.
  • Manage third -party logistics providers software to book shipments, including UPS, DHL and Priority Freight.
  • Ensure that budgetary requirements are raised for transportation and that Finance have accurate visibility of current and future spending.
  • Support customs team with any outstanding Carnet requirements.
  • Raise any dangerous goods paperwork for air, road and sea in line with current guidance.
  • Awareness in transportation of dangerous goods by road, air and sea in line with changing regulations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Dangerous goods by Road, Air and Sea certification
  • Computer literate
  • Logistics experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Outgoing and approachable with the ability to clearly communicate information.
  • Disciplined and methodical and able to work with multiple demands.
  • Engineering experience from time spent in the Automotive industry
  • Degree level / Automotive Experience
