Department overview:
The systems engineering team is responsible for defining the Feature behaviour and implementation by specifying the system architecture, requirements and guiding commodity implementation through feature ownership.
Job Purpose:
To lead the feature development and delivery of distributed functions within the Powertrain Domain.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analysing and organising stakeholder requirements
- Deriving system requirements from stakeholder requirements
- Developing logical, functional and system architecture diagrams
- Mapping system requirements into elements/components
- Defining system interfaces and interface between components
- Identifying diagnostic requirements for the systems
- Through regular reviews, ensure on time delivery (SADs, feature maturity, etc.)
- Drives issue resolution and, where required, mitigation plans
- Directs the workload of the systems engineering team for the given programme
- Support SOTIF (ISO21448) and Cyber Security (UNECE R155) aspects of the feature delivery
- Use of ASPICE for system and feature development
Qualification & Experience:
- Expertise in MBSE methodology and requirements capture tools (DOORS, Polarion).
- Strong background in automotive embedded systems and V-cycle development.
- Skilled in diagnostics (UDS/ODX) and network protocols (CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi).
- In-depth knowledge of real-time operating systems and AUTOSAR architecture.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues in cross-functional teams.
