Job Purpose:

To be a member of a team responsible to the Group Leader for the Paint Protection Film application for Valhalla & sports cars

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

. Surface Preparation & Cleaning

Understanding how to properly clean and decontaminate a vehicle surface (removing dirt, wax, grease, etc.).

2. PPF Application

Skilled in applying self-healing polyurethane film without trapping air bubbles, creases, or dust.

Ability to stretch, align, and reposition the film accurately over complex curves and body lines.

Proficient in using slip solutions and tack solutions to control film movement.

3. Pattern Cutting or Software Use

Experience with pre-cut templates (via plotters)

High level of precision to ensure clean edges, invisible seams, and no contamination under the film.

4. Problem-Solving

Ability to adapt techniques to each unique vehicle or install challenge (e.g., recessed areas, complex contours, textured surfaces)

5. Other

Support with catch back of parts and missed processes

Conduct reasonable requests

Carry out FML and Lean activities (5S and first line maintenance of tooling, etc)

Collaboration with cross functional support functions eg. Man eng

Qualification & Experience:

• Strong hands-on skills in applying paint protection film (PPF), vinyl wraps, or window tinting.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in cutting, trimming, and aligning film.
• Good understanding of different vehicle surfaces, curves, and paint finishes.
• Ability to work with heat guns, squeegees, knives, and other installation tools safely and effectively.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Patience and ability to complete tasks to a high standard under time pressure.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, cleaning, and paint correction techniques.
• Problem-solving skills to deal with complex vehicle shapes and unexpected challenges.
• previous experience in PPF installation, vinyl wrapping, automotive detailing, or a related field (essential or desirable depending on level).
• Basic knowledge of automotive paint types and surface finishes.
• Computer literate advantageous

• NVQ in automotive production, repair, paint application and PPF experience would be advantageous.
