Digital Product Owner

Department Overview:

Defining and delivering a leading digital experience for AML across the global digital ecosystem, including but not limited to CRM, Website, App and connected services.

 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for owning the AML Car Configurator, ensuring it is continuously updated both with new features, model updates, pricing changes and bug enhancements

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Owning the Car Configurator roadmap, ensuring key business requirements and milestones are taken into account
  • Manage our 3rd party supplier(s), ensuring budgetary control, performance optimization and internal collaboration
  • Continuously identifying and implementing optimizations to the configurator based on data and insight
  • Owning the release process for the configurator, seeing projects through from concept, build, delivery and transition into service
  • Proactively working with the wider marketing and sales team to suggest improvements and enhancements to the app enhancing our CX and UX
  • Ensuring the performance and application of the configurator is seamless across our wider channels (CRM, web, social, app)
  • Work with key stakeholder groups such as product, pricing, marketing and programme to ensure product update are delivered on time  

 

Experience and Qualifications:

Essentials:

  • Proven track record of managing complex roadmaps, associated budgets and other related resources as a Digital Product Owner.
  • Worked on a rules based engine (such as a configurator), not necessarily within automotive but wider.
  • Strong understanding of Digital marketing and channels to engage with youth
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, influencing skills and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in Agile, influencing teams across various locations and within API/Microservices environments.
  • Proven solid judgment, decision making and commercial acumen.
  • Automotive experience
  • Digital product ownership
  • Car configurator lifecycle

 

Skills and Behaviour:

Be able to take ownership for their work, both in times of success and areas for improvement, showing accountability at all times. They must be able to deal with ambiguity and bring structure where it may not exist.
